I work for the Orange Cult, and a big part of the job is directing customers to their desired item. There's kiosks at Customer service loaded with a version of their public website where you can search and item and find the aisle and quantity. If you're working at a register or on the floor, and don't have a photographic memory of the store, theres no way to help except direct the customer to look for another cult member. I've asked repeatedly for a store directory or map, and every single person tells me to download the app on my personal phone. So, they want me to use my personal phone, for which they don't provide insurance or usage allowance, and log onto their unsecured guest network. Hell, no. I'm not taking the risk of dropping my phone on the concrete floor and cracking the screen, or having my data hacked over the guest network. Everyone seems quite annoyed by this response, and says that they all do it. Brainwashed idiots.
