Im a 24/F, that has been working since i was 16. I know how people can be and it still really bothers me that anyone can come up to me while I’m working and treat me like a dog and i just have to smile and pretend like i don’t care.
I work (used to now) as a cashier at a small grocery store in a tourist town and most of the time we have our regular local customers and the one time shop tourist. I have been dealing with a lot of personal stuff recently which have been detrimental to my mental health and i just recently came back to work.
Today, a lady came up with her two daughters and one was carrying alcohol so i asked for her ID, the mother got so offended she started calling me names and her and her daughters laughed at me, i tried to explain that I’m trying to do my job and she just kept yelling at me. I saw my manager so i went to him and asked for help and he yelled at me so, i grabbed my things and left. Im not going back but i don’t know what to do now.
