First time posting here and looking for some advice!
I’ve been working for a cannabis distribution company in California as a driver close to 5 years and for the past month I haven’t been going to work since I started a new job in sales with a more promising future.
I’ve been prolonging my leave from my previous company since I don’t really know how to follow up with the GM about my leave and he’s usually not there, and I don’t really want to go about using the 2-week notice method. I have close to 192 hours of vacation and sick time accrued throughout the years I worked there, and I’ve been told that I’m able to cash out any unused time once I’m not working for the company.
Any suggestions as to how should I reach out to my manager if either email, text or showing up to work is the best idea? I have close to $7-9k of vacation, sick time and 401k included and obviously I want to be able to take advantage of this money I’ve been working for all this time.
