My dream job offered me a bad salary
I was thrilled when my dream company accepted me. However, they offered me a base pay of 80% my current wage. Considering all benefits and bonuses I get 91.3% of my current wage.
I'm very bummed and feeling low. I told them on the spot I would rather not receive a wage below my current salary. I'm torn if I made the right decision or not as I hate my current job but I feel pay is way below my experience. Now HR wants to check but I feel it will look bad if I end up accepting original offer. They can even retract it.
