Wasted job interview.

I’ll be honest I never thought I would have anything to post here but it seems I’ve ran into the same thing that I’ve been reading from some of you over the past few months. I’ve recently started the job hunt, graduated school with a associates in maintenance, about a year experience at my current job that builds equipment for factories. Long story short I had an interview today where we went through the whole spiel and them asking a few technical questions (they used far different slang than I was used to, I feel like I answered all of them pretty well and I know I got most correct; but hey maybe I have bad answers I’m not exempt from fault I’m human.) Get to the end (I’ve been here for about an hour) and they explain that they are looking for someone “more seasoned.” I was then told…

Long story short I had an interview today where we went through the whole spiel and them asking a few technical questions (they used far different slang than I was used to, I feel like I answered all of them pretty well and I know I got most correct; but hey maybe I have bad answers I’m not exempt from fault I’m human.) Get to the end (I’ve been here for about an hour) and they explain that they are looking for someone “more seasoned.” I was then told in the very next sentence that I could sign up with a temp agency they use to work as an “intern” and gain experience.

When asked how long the internship would last (three times) I was finally told that they couldn’t guarantee how long that would be.

Oh well, time to send out some more applications.
