I know the idea of antiwork overall is the abolition of the current working culture as is, but I think part of that process can, and should be, a concerted effort to help people, especially the younger generations, understand what options we all have to push back against illegal work practice.
There was a recent post in another group about a company stealing through wage theft. Wage theft is probably one of the biggest types of theft that happens, but most people do not know what wage theft is or how to recognize it. Also in the thread a lot of people were commenting on “right to work” laws. I think a lot of people think that “right to work” laws allow companies to pretty much fire anyone they want for any reason without any repercussions. While it is true they can fire you, what happens around the firing may not actually be legal or could be labeled as retaliation.
We will never be able to fight back in all ways possible if we do not know the ways we can call out or go after the illegal behaviors of these companies and corporations.
