What can be done about fake posts that misrepresent news?

Lately I've seen a lot of fake posts in this subreddit. To some degree, that comes with the territory–we have to trust individuals who share personal correspondence with their bosses, and I am okay with that. The issue is that lately I've been seeing a growing trend of misrepresented news stories being posted here. For example here is a response I had to a recent thread about Elon Musk: https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/yvftkh/comment/iwggf97/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 Musk is a monster, but the way this story was clearly manipulated is an example of what we've been seeing more and more around here. Musk is a monster, but the way this story was clearly manipulated is an example of what we've been seeing more and more around here. Elon did apparently fire a guy who was (barely) disparaging him. But it was much different than what was shared.

I think leftists don't need to spice up details on these stories. Reality is infuriating enough.

And a recent post that claimed a city was going to pass a law that made Starbucks workers work faster (this wasn't true at all) is the kind of thing that creates confusion about how government (in the U.S.) works which could impact all kinds of things like voter participation and a misunderstanding in how much good local government can do if we're active in the political process.

The reason I think more should be done is I have actually reported these posts when I did a little horizontal research, and mods seem to not care. They don't respond or take the posts down.
