So, I have a new boss who is an authoritarian and refuse to listen to his subordinates ideas. It's like always his way is better and argues like a lawyer so I just pretend to agree with him and play the idiot card when something is not done as he requested. That is the toxic IT workplace of a bank where everything is always late, because goals are very demanding the employees do what they can but never reach the goal on time. I would like to quit, but since I have 3 loans some of the benefits are very low yearly rates and I'm in the manager position so I keep looking daily for new ways out. The good thing is that nobody wants to work there so they hardly fires somebody unless you do something very bad.
I was happily working remote(hybrid actually), but today was told that he needs me on site and tomorrow they will confirm if this will be like this. If they make me work on site I will silently apply these terms:
- Leave laptop at the office and politely refuse to help since dont have the tools.
- Ignore all calls after I leave the office unless I'm on duty week.
What else should I do to do a pacific protest?
