My company's promotion “rules” are so cringe and don't make any sense at all and they are hypocritical. Plus there are secret promotions happening. Has anyone else had to deal with this kind of BS?
Apparently to get promoted at my company, they expect you to perform as a senior team member for a long time while still getting the same entry-level title with entry-level pay. And even when you do perform above your role for a long time, all they do is give you a pat on the head. On the other hand, you hear about secret promotions where someone just joined the team and has only been there for less than 6 months and they automatically get promoted when they don't even understand their role or the team function yet. It's funny how companies don't even follow their own rules and love promoting people when all they know how to do is kiss ass and don't know how to actually do their job. Can't wait to leave this company soon! Companies like this should get cancelled.
