What dodgy things have your employer/job done?

At my (24f) previous job, I was a caregiver in an aged care facility, and stayed at the job for three years. They were always short staffed, and barely paid above minimum wage. Toward the end of my employment, they tried implementing tactics to try and secure more staff, one of which was them starting a “recruitment reward” that stated if a staff member recommended a potential candidate for the job and the candidate went for an interview, the staff that sourced them would receive a $100 reward. If the candidate stayed for six months, the staff would get another $100, and then again at 12 months. I did not recommend anyone, nor search for potential candidates because I didn’t want them to experience the toxic environment. Leaving that job was marvellous for my mental and emotional health.
