What is a polite way of asking to be paid for going in after my shift to fix a company espresso machine?

Hi guys. I need help wording a text message to my boss asking to be paid for going in today after my shift to help fix a espresso machine. I like my job I just wanted to be paid fairly for my time and let them know if they request for my assistance they will have to pay me. Thank you!
