What should my next move be?

I work up front at a family practice clinic who uses a separate third-party as our billing side. Been here for about a year, no real major complaints to post up here but the front office had a meeting yesterday with someone from the billing side and basically they’re adding a shit ton of extra work on our end just so the clinic/doctors can make more money. They’re essentially making us collectors, like the people in the corporate office who work on the revenue cycle side. Not adding any pay for a pretty steep amount of work and the expectation is basically immediate, not like a “we’ll try it out for a few weeks and see how it flows.” More of a “this starts tomorrow.” I’ve already updated my resume and am looking for other things that pay as much or more. Am I wrong for immediately throwing my hands…

I’ve already updated my resume and am looking for other things that pay as much or more. Am I wrong for immediately throwing my hands up and feeling like it’s too much too soon for nothing extra?
