so the story goes like this i applied for a job, after 3 phone interviews the recruiter called me said he got with his team and decided to give me the job and gave me a full explanation of how things will go down to get me on board the company and i was “told” i would receive the offer the next day from the recruiter, the following day i waited all day no response, so the next day (today day 2) i send an email and call the recruiter and still no response. I also emailed the manager that interviewed me I played dumb and thanked him for the opportunity and if i could visit the office and work environment, he responded and said thanks for reaching out and sure come by at 9 am or 1 pm friday (tomorrow), I told him my pleasure and thank you just reaching out because i just wanted to confirm the offer made to me and that i would see him at 1pm, all he said was see you at 1pm.
So i am not new to the game of the job application hiring process, I have been ghosted plenty of times by recruiters, but to me this seems like something worse than that like some kind of weird tease, why would the recruiter tell me he'd give me a job offer and then just not respond and why would the manager agree to show me around and not acknowledge my concerns about the offer, it seems like it would just be a big waste of time and just show me around to just reject me for some weird reason.
so i want to go tomorrow and just do the pettiest thing i can do because im pretty sure they will treat it as some extra interview or something just to not give me the job but all this shit seems extremely weird and i want my get back at these people for messing with peoples lives like that. like what if i really needed that job and they decided to fuck with my emotions like that. this whole situation pisses me off and im seeking help on how to be fucking petty to that recruiter and manager for fucking with me.
ps. If you think I am in the wrong i'll gladly hear you out as to why btw. its been about 2 days from said offer but why lie about it? why not just say we want to interview before moving forward.
