I've only been working there for one month. When negotiating the pay, I got a small $ bump plus a 6-month review+increase. I wasn't thrilled, but I had nothing else going on so I took the job.
When I told my boss I had another job offer with the schools for the same pay but with 175 days off, he offered me a 25%+ salary increase and additional PTO.
This is what happens. He could have paid more from the start. He could've offered more PTO from the start. Why should I trust anything he says or does now? Nope.
