I worked as a cashier at a grocery store for 2 weeks 15 yrs ago…. Torture. Standing… For hours… No customers… Not allowed to read a book… Not allowed to walk around and… Clean, stock shelves, nothing. Forced to NOTHING for HOURS… Why???
Ever since…. Every time I go to a store I feel so compassionate for the cashiers.
Why no chairs?

Like psychological and physical torture or something .
Just for no reason.
No cashiers can have chairs in u.s.
