Why working at start up business sucks?

I used to work for big cooperation retail stores, then I decide to explore start up business like boba shop and game company. In general, I have bad experiences with them. For boba shop, I feel bad for the co-worker who had to solo making drinks with over 50 ingredients, being a cashier, pick up the phone and clean the tools for min wage. While their goal is to avoid negative review on yelp and push the us to work fast. The owner fired me cause they can't afford me. (After I get fired, few months later, the customer complain that the drink takes too long.) As the game start up company, besides being unpaid. There are bunch of unprofessional people/team with no degree in game field. I tried guide them, but I end up being gaslighting by people with “fancy” title. In general, I have bad experiences with them.
For boba shop, I feel bad for the co-worker who had to solo making drinks with over 50 ingredients, being a cashier, pick up the phone and clean the tools for min wage. Both of them have very bad management and bussiness practice.

So I decide to go back to my old job that is a long time cooperation even it's not fancy. I enjoy freebies, simple tasks, flexible hours, not much expectations, my co-workers are friendly and get paid for training/career workshops. They really care about workers personal life and emergency. Btw the company is Goodwill.
