With the aggressive automation of most jobs and new technology (ChatGP, Boston Robotics, etc.), anybody wonder what ‘careers’ will still be available in the near future?

A while back I read a post (forgot which sub) about this guy who got hired to do some data entry/computer job. He developed a short code (nobody asked him to do it, he did it on his own) that greatly reduced his actual work by some 90%, leaving him a lot of free time on company dime. His automated work product was something like 99% better (accuracy, reliability, etc.) than other employees' work. Somehow management got wind of his little short code, confirmed it was far superior than actual human input and decided to lay off 90% of the staff. I can't remember how the story ended, but he was pretty upset that he caused so many people to lose their jobs. This seems to be the reality most of us are heading towards. This seems to be the reality most of us are heading towards. What 'careers' do you think will still be available in the near future that will not be susceptible to automation. I wonder how they will expect people to have money to buy their products/services if most will be unemployable and therefore broke …
