So I live in Oregon and my work has always had it so you accrued sick time. Ever 20 hours you get 1 hour of sick AND vacation time. There was no limit to how much you could use in a year.
Now I learned yesterday that there was a 40 hour yearly limit that was added last month. 0 notice beforw the change. No emails and I haven't needed to use any sick time.
Now I'm fucked for the rest of the year because I got my wisdom teeth removed and needed to use 46 hours of sick time in February.
What's even worse is we still accrue time, so it says on paylocity that I have 65 hours available.
Not even the business office knew about this change.
