PREFACE: Without too much preface I have worked here for just inside of 2 years. It has had its ups and downs and I have stuck with it because it beats the alternative of working fast food or child care. The pay is $16 w/ 4 year degree but the responsibilities are pretty slim. Ultimately it’s a descent in between gig but there is no upward motion unless I go to PT school.
IMPORTANT PART:
My schedule has changed every week for the last month because the other person in my role left. They have been trying to get another person in but they won’t update the pay so it’s hard to trick people into working here. — I am at my wits end because my boss asked me to cover tomorrow (less then 24hr notice) and I said yes because I felt like I can’t say no without being a dick. We have small team and we have mostly been working together for a few years so we try to help each other. After a subpar review a few weeks back and the other tech leaving I have been wrestling with the idea of leaving. And under better circumstances I would have but I am moving in a little over a month. They know this already so now it has become use and abuse until I leave. I want to leave so badly but can’t live off of no income.
