Policy is no calls offs within first 90 days. I guess if you do call of you must call no later than 4 hours in advance and get a doctor's note. Knowing what I've seen so far I wouldn't be surprised If there is also a disciplinary write up, because what the hell, why not right?
I'm sick. Between the extreme stress, the cesspool of germs, the no hand sanitizer or bathroom break and likely inadvertently touching my face in between customer interactions that left me in complete agony, my body feels like it was replaced with a petri dish of the local publics germs. Was having the closest I've ever been to nervous breakdown by the time I left my shift yesterday evening.
Anyway. sore throat, fever, chills, headache, and general apathy about going forward in life when it sucks this hard. Obvious answer is call off, but I don't know I'm sort of feeling like this is the type of job you go to half dead or they talk shit about you and then look for ways to get rid of you even harder. Probably a blessing but I have the poor's.
I wouldn't have gotten sick if they had a model that in any way treats people like human beings instead of ways to cut business costs.
