Work had recently started “stress testing” us

I’ve been at my wits end with this job for a bit, for the usual reasons, the manager is disrespectful and unprofessional (raises her voice/resorts to personal attacks), the pay is shit, etc. But I’ve stuck it out because I’m a full-time student and Im just happy to have a job that allows me to have a flexible schedule. HOWEVER. I took a week off, and very nearly quit on the spot when I came back to my coworker informing me that the company is “stress-testing ” us which means seeing what is the least amount of staff we can possibly have on shift during our busy hours. Essentially just, what is the most work we can possibly take on without full on crying, and let me tell you busy hours are brutal, and I have cried before with a regular amount of staff. So. I’m quitting. I literally can’t…

So. I’m quitting. I literally can’t even wrap my head around why you would openly admit to overworking people to save money. Insane.
