Work isn’t rewarded

As I re-enter the workforce after a 6 year sabbatical, I noticed workers need a quick rebuttal to “no one wants to work”. It can't be a schpiel about politics and class struggle. It needs to be quick and flip the onus on the employer. I suggest “work isn't rewarded”. It describes accurately why work that was dutifully completed in the past no longer is tenable. Short and sweet.
