Why the hell in my “midpoint appraisal” today did my boss first “stress work life balance” and “not working outside your hours” but then proceeds to tell me I should take a few minutes while I am at home to search social media to see if people are talking about our company??? Like why the hell would I even waste 10 seconds on that when I'm not at work? And you just told me not to work outside my hours? How the hell would she even know if I do or don't do that. I am so confused. And that wasn't even the worst part of the review. I've only been here like 6 months and I am leaning towards look elsewhere honestly. They try to seem like a forward thinking company with strong work life balance and mask it with neoliberal bullshit safe space shit, then turn around and say dumb shit like that. I can't deal with it anymore.
