It is eid . Eid is the festive time for muslims, mostly like Christmas.
I've been living outside my country for a while now, Eids can be hard if you are isolated. Usually, i just go to the nearest Muslims centre and hang around .
This year, im working a full time job .I wanted to get a day off, but my company is moving towards 24/7 policy and is prioritising taking holidays like Christmas or Eid based on your religion.
So, I was notified that if I ended up asking for a day off, I would have to work through ALL Christmas..
I do celebrate Christmas, as it is a huge part of my culture as a Palestinian. And want to be around my friends in Christmas Eve.
So, anyway, here i am, completely alone in the office , isolated, and want to cry .because i really want to be with family or at least within my community today .
