Written up for two days of absence.

The title is the bulk of it. I have severe depression/anxiety and make no secret of it, I speak openly about it often. I’ve never been able to hold a job more than 4-6 months tops because of this, because of stringent attendance policies. I was optimistic getting the job six months ago (aka, this is my longest-held job ever) because I was told, among other lies, that they were excellent at working with their employees. Turns out they fired their attendance lady shortly after I came on and automated the process. They told us on Dec. 1st or so that they were now counting absences, and I was called into the office and talked to for a total of six points from three absences in November. Not a huge deal because the supervisors told me I had one of the lowest points of anyone with the company…cut to today’s shift, and I was handed a paper writing me up because I missed two more days in December (unavoidably, with four hour’s notice on one day and nearly 24 on the other). My total was ten points and “termination” is at 16…not that I believe they’re enforcing it. I had a full blown mental breakdown when my manager proceeded to tell me off for not having a picture that isn’t even my responsibility to take. I guess I’m writing here for some validation from others that the situation is shitty and I’m not stupid for being upset. Any advice for jobs in/around airports that actually treat you well would be appreciated.

EDIT because my app was being glitchy and I had to restart it: I work 5 days a week 8 hours a day; between Nov+Dec thats around 43 days working. To have only missed 5 days between all of that means I have a 90% attendance rate or so, which makes all of this feel even worse. And I work graveyard shift with no pay incentive.
