A an old coworker of mine just quit at the company we used to work together at. He was there 3 years and basically did his manager's job plus his. Never got a raise. Always assigned more projects, work etc. He sent his resignation email and the department head sent an email back saying how he's squandering such a great opportunity and that he has such great potential with in the company. How does any of that matter when he constantly suffers from financial insecurity while going above and beyond for years with no reward? Where the fuck is the opportunity?
