Idk what I am looking for here, just want to put this in writing because i feel a bit dirty. I've been representing people in disciplinary cases for the union and oh my fucking god so many snakes! Going into it I expected them all to be bored out of their mind and wanting to get back to work asap. What I found is there's a surprising number of people who love to play Inspector fucking Derrick, procedural terms learned from tv and all. The investigator is more often than not trying to prosecute a mf, rather than trying to find out what happened. They'll conveniently forget what was said at previous meetings, omit crucial bits from the minutes, insinuate in bad faith etc.
And HR. Hr honestly, they allow so much fuckery go unpunished just because it’s the easier thing to ‘make things go smoothly’ or because we hate poor people. and so much pearl clutching omg can’t believe you would call me out on a lie, we’re all friends here right? fuckin scumbags one and all.
