I just watched Ray Dailo’s video on Changing World Orders. I can’t share it because someone shared it before. Anyway the moral of the story is the rich have the mission of maintaining the current world order and we have the mission of making the current world order crumble so a new one can emerge. It’s a huge opportunity for someone on the side of the Left because it’s in this stage that names are made. So fight the power and you may be one of the names that goes down in history as someone who made the current world prefer crumble and brought a new one. It’s funny, I’m trying to motivate anti work people to work to bring down the current world order.
Month: March 2022
Gas is hitting record numbers and covid currently worse than last year when we were told to not meet with groups of people, but companies are asking people to come into the office like nothing is happening. How is the great resignation looking? Gas will be $5-6 soon where I am and having to drive to work I’ll lose a few hundred dollars a month that I could be saving when I’m already spread thin. How long till we hit a boiling point and people hold their ground about going in? If there was a time to give people fully remote if you’re capable I think this is it. Commercial real estate prices and micromanagement is more important for many though. How’s it looking for everyone else out there?
I have an office job and sometimes I have absolutely nothing to do. What am I supposed to be doing when this happens? I've already reached out to my supervisor for things I can help with and generally they have some, but not always. My recurring projects are not coming up yet and my in-process projects I'm waiting for people to get back to me. When working in the office I have to fight the urge not to fall asleep at my desk sometimes, and working from home I can at least do the dishes or something but I feel weird. Thoughts?
Like the title says, my boss and his wife are routinely showing up sick and getting us all sick. They are salaried so they get the time off, paid. We get shit and have to catch up our work when we get back if we get time off at all. I just don't know how to approach this. It's a small town and my job is decent, pay is… better than some I guess and hard to beat around here. I can't quit or threaten to quit but I gotta do something. I just want to brain storm with you guys for a minute.
Question about leaving my first job.
Have been working somewhere I don't want to be for too long. I finally found an opportunity to leave and do something I really enjoy and receiving an offer better than what I'm getting from current job, and I plan on giving my two weeks notice soon. My question is this: I'm supposed to recieve a bonus for work I did back in 2021 within the two weeks of me giving my notice. Can the company legally withhold that bonus pay after learning I won't be with them, even if I'm still employed by them when that bonus is scheduled to be paid out?
I like smoking weed and have been working for a clinic as a Covid position. Easiest job I could’ve imagined having I sat there and took temperatures. That was mainly it. I got paid more than any other job too. I knew it was a temporary job but it still lasted about a little over a year. Then I applied for a different position for the company because when I was hired they said they’d put me somewhere else when the previous position ends. Which I had to do all of the rehire stuff even though I was working for the same company! I had to quit smoking again and I was surprised I passed the drug test considering I only quit for a month. But I think they’re so desperate that maybe they didn’t care? Anyways, I got hired on and they’re only paying me .50 cents more. This…
From the UK here. Currently undertaking an Apprenticeship which is basically slave Labour in exchange for a qualification while you work, I get paid just under £4 an hour. A year after starting an apprenticeship though your wage is suppose to go up to the minimum wage which for me would have been June. I was also told during interviews that they have a track record of keeping all of their apprentices. Since started not one single person who isn’t their family member has told me they had an apprenticeship which them which was worrying at the start. I left my stable job before this as I was sick of retail work and this was a chance to get back into what I want to do. Well I’ve been told today that due to lack of finance for me I’m gone in June despite a new senior member of staff…
I ended my one-year contract at a company about two months ago, working for an extremely toxic boss. Gritted my teeth all along to get through it without further harm. This employer heavily abuses their power and doesn’t even seem to realize it. I’d like to clarify this by giving them an account of my experience. My issue is that, as I try to draft this letter, my words come out very aggressive and emotionally charged. I know this is probably not the best way to get my message across, so am turning to you for help on how to go about this. Additional details: I have no fear of burning bridges as I am leaving that field anyway. Would love it if this letter could potentially help this employer understand that they need to change. I’ll also add that they didn’t even dislike me… in fact, they appreciated the…
Need ideas to help me pass the time…
I work for a government institution. They keep taking on more staff, but the workload just isn't materialising. Fortunately for me, I leave in just over a week to go full time on my own business. My replacement has been appointed and has taken on 99% of my workload. Consequently, I'm sitting here doing nothing. I've exhausted all of my 'rainy day' tasks, have taken two lunch breaks, browsed Indeed for other jobs of interest and generally mooched around the office chatting with colleagues. However, I'm appallingly bored and irritated. I've got so much could do at home, so being untasked at work is infuriating. I can't do any of my home tasks from the work computers due to the way they're set up and bringing in another machine wouldn't look right. I'm seriously considering faking a bout of sickness absence just to kill time. I am not alone in…
For all the uterus owners out there.
As a survey, how many people in the workforce have needed access to the on site menstrual products that some companies have out for that? Story: Some high up, never had a job outside of a cubicle, woman has made the decision that we don’t need them because we should bring our own because we all know when our cycle starts. Just to save the company money. Quick edit: I’m in Canada.
