Nasty Coworker
get a new job 10 months in really like job want to stay one issue though one really nasty coworker Ok so this coworker, we’ll call him Joe. Joe is a very grumpy man. He’s in his mid 50s, short, balding, and very round in shape. Anyway, he’s been really nasty to me the last couple weeks. Basically what he does is wait for me to walk away and turn the corner, then he says something negative about me to our other nearby coworkers. They all giggle and then he continues to talk poorly of me and air his grievances about me until I walk back in. Then it goes back to silence. I know this because one time I turned the corner and just stood there overhearing the whole interaction. On a few occasions I’ve left my phone behind to record the conversation. Aside from brief giggles, nobody else…
Just goes to show, companies need to pay for what they want
It would be interesting to know if there were any correlations that would suggest whether an individual is more inclined to be ‘antiwork.’ One hypothesis would be that those who work undesirable jobs for lower wages, would be further inclined to take an ‘antiwork’ stance. It is also worth considering financial commitments such as home/land ownership, vehicles, debts, kids, pets, etc. Factors such as upbringing and geography are likely to impact one’s stance as well. I think it would shed some perspective on the issue if we could comment on our personal situations. I suggest posting a comment which outlines your current work, your education level, your income level, whether you rent or own and how much it costs you, any major assets or investments, and what region of the world you live in. Then maybe give a brief summary on your opinion on your career and work in general.…
My lungs are crap, I can't walk far, and my short term memory is junk, but my long term memory is great. My memorization is pretty great too. Also, I'm clever, and think outside the box.
