It's been a few days, and this is STILL bothering me. Need to vent. I was able to get myself an interview as a Front Desk Associate for a popular brand of hotels. I go to the interview, and at first, it goes VERY well. I answer everything well, I'm being charismatic, etc. The interviewer seems to be receptive and likes what she's hearing. She starts talking to me as if the job is already mine. When discussing the next steps, she tells me I need to fill out another application (even though I obviously already filled one out), and create some online Employee Portal Account. She gives me laptop with a nearly dead battery, and a paper application to fill out. And a pen with NO ink that absolutely REFUSES to write. During this whole time, I was by myself in a conference room and she had left me…

If I get told “Welcome to the real world” one more time I'm going to fucking snap. Edit: since some of you are fucking assholes I'll have you know I work 60 hours a week as a Paramedic. Fuck you.

Anyone else notice that about the USA? You cant work 30-35 hours a week for $30-$40k you have to work 50 hours for $65k+. You cant have a small 1-2 bedroom house on a small plot of land you either have to get a tiny apartment with no garage, or a super mega house with 5 bedrooms youre never going to use for $750k. Our two party system and absolute hatred of any kind of third party.
