Employee Appreciation Day is today!
Hey y'all, it's me again, back on my bullshit! Today (March 4th) is Employee Appreciation Day in the United States! Let's all discuss how our jobs acknowledged the day and their workers, because I'm sure they did! I'll go first. My work sent out a company-wide email saying there were ice cream treats in the freezer. The majority of us are currently working from home. Later, another email was sent out, saying how awesome we are and how much of an impact we have on the community. Thanks, job. The treats that the majority of us can't access and the kudos really made up for the fact that you didn't give us our yearly raises last year. Your turn!
Browsing while clocked in
Finished all my work, acting like I'm swamped. Waiting to clock out. This Is how I work now since I busted my ass all last year only to be told I was “achieving” while my numbers were higher than anyone else in my department and I was rewarded with a $.40 raise. So now I'm only going to “achieve” instead of bust my ass. 🙂
Happy employee appreciation day everyone
This was Wednesday & I have yet to get a response. I already work partially remote so I’ll be back in the office on Tuesday. I did say in the E-Mail that I would appreciate a written response but it wouldn’t be below him to wait until I come in to talk about it. Which I’m prepared to do for once but still nervous about. I did say that I would have to seek employment elsewhere if he didn’t give me my ask (40K a year). That is bc I actually don’t make enough without that salary to apply to 99.999% of apartments in my area. I live on my own & have student loans coming back. I feel screwed. Part of me wants to just submit my two weeks on Monday bc even if he says yes I know this job isn’t my long term plan. It’s just a…
1,5 years ago I was working in a company that was crushing. It was TOO much. I was working on 10 to 25 projects at the same time with 0 experience working such projects and no support (especially after covid hit). I was just left behind a computer screen completely lost and to figure it out with no training and an unfair workload.. 6 months later I was burned out. Then I was called into a mandatory meeting and told I was sacked with the rest of the department due to reorganisation. I was so happy! No more stress from this ridiculous job, but I did need to find a new job.. I found one within a week but I was so.. SO!! Bored that I quit after a month thinking I was going to get a burnout from low workload instead lol. (It was mandatory to be in the…

Employee appreciation day today!
Got into my HQ today and was informed that due to it being employee appreciation day, there's donuts and coffee in the lunch room. I don't drink coffee but went in and grabbed a donut. Thanks, guys. Every little bit helps. Come to find out the managment team is going to a pro basketball game. Suite, food, alcohol, etc. I understand that they can't take 500 people to a game but damn, you couldn't have had a catered lunch for us?
