The employee handbook how a company tells you everything you need to know about all the policies and shitty rules the hr department has come up with to screw over employees. Most companies hide this behind employee internal websites. Everyone should ask for and review these before showing up for a interview. It tells you all the ways a company will try to cheat you.

I’m on my last nerve.
They fired my manager who had worked there for 22 years and was the glue holding my entire department together. Now everything is falling apart at work and I'm trying my best to keep things moving. I'm trying to teach other people how to do my job so I can actually take days off, but they are all vacant eyed slack jawed yes men ass kissers who don't pay attention when I talk. I managed to talk a former coworker into quitting her job and coming back to help me but now she's having to stay home with a sick child and even though I feel bad about that all I want the do is curse her out. I've got a goddam family too and I never get to spend time with them because I am always working. The worst part is I could walk less than half a mile…
Quit my job today
I’ve been working at a drug testing company for some time now. I was only getting 15.50 an hour for doing DOT (department of transportation) tests. Following federal rules and guidelines but no federal pay. It’s a small company but they have over 5,000 clients so we are always extremely busy. I sent out an email to my manager about getting a raise since I feel I’m not properly compensated and all I got in return was “we’ll see”. I decided right then and there to turn in my letter of resignation. I thought that working for a small company would be better, turns out that greed comes in all shapes and sizes.
Nothing first world about us
The hero we need.
Am I wrong?
So I have 2 jobs? One is essentially fast food…the other is a liquor store. I love the liquor store solely because of the atmosphere. We have one employee who will sit in the back on his phone watching videos. I’m not going to lie I’m on my phone…when there’s no customers. I also do my job. Yet I’ve endured myself to the other employees…the owner’s daughter usually asks me if I want to cover a shift of someone who called in. Tonight was supposed to be off at 7. Someone called in so I picked the closing shift. The video guy came in round 8:30 saying he wanted more hours. I’ve been nice in the past & I’ve given a couple shifts away. But why is he saying it now? He has a car. That’s why I have 2 jobs. If he really needs hours get a 2nd job.…
Crude oil price trades around $120 and also doubled in 12 months. What that meabs for you, look out at the grocery and gas pump. Prices will skyrock soon.
A friend of mine is about to resign from his job (they have him working full time hours as a part timer and he's currently trying to get full time benefits because of it). If he doesn't get the benefits, he's probably gonna quit. My questions are: If he puts in a two weeks notice and they tell him it's fine, he doesn't have to work the remaining days but he wants to work those two weeks, what can he do? Is this technically a notice of termination? Does he have a case of any kind (in Texas) being a part timer and getting worked 40+ hours a week consistently? This is all assuming his job is gonna try to screw him on something. My question is, if they don't give him the benefits, what steps should he take to ensure he gets the best possible exit?
I hate this job so fking much
So me(23yo F) I am recently working as an accountant for a company that is keeping financial documents for 50 companies. Yesterday my boss asked me for help, even thought I made clear to her that I am new to this job and I dont know what I am doing. She told me to do stuffs then she went to the SALOON leaving me alone with a ton of work. She said she will come back to me after 30 mins but it took 2 hours. Alright I accepted that because I know that the time spent might vary but after she gave me a ton of work to do balance sheets for Oct Nov and Dec she said that she needs for February not those months. Then…I did as she asked and because I am new I messed up the numbers for some taxes because the paper was in…
