Month: March 2022
I applied to an assload of jobs to see what would stick, and I got an offer for an interview. It’s somewhere offering less than what I make at worst, about the same at best. Plus some other drawbacks. But I plan on going to the interview just because it’s been a minute since I’ve done a job interview. Sort of like a refresher. Part of me feels scummy, but I also know I have better options out there. I even had another recruiter hit me up with a solid offer out of the blue (without applying). Anyway, I plan on using this practice for the real thing. Anyone else done the same? I’ll be civil about it, obviously. I won’t just be like, “see ya, losers,” and walk out. But I already know I don’t want it.
2021 Russia: 7,6 million MT Belarus: 7,3 million MT Canada: 14 million MT China: 5 million MT Potash is a mined salt that ia crucial for agricultural production due to fertilizers. Sanctions and war in the top global production countries will have huge consequences. Prices for ferilizers are set to skyrock as will grocery prices. In some areas harvests may even yield less because of the lack of fertilizers.
How the world spends its time
Boss makes me break isolation
Boss made me come into work today to prove that I have covid by doing a rat test in front of him. He said I need to see my doctor and get one done so he could apply for my wages from gov but I watched my Aunty do all that from home with none of those requirements for her bosses employees.
So I just realized that for at least the last 5 months my employer hasn't been taking any federal taxes out of my paycheck. I now owe the government over $2000 dollars in back taxes. On my W2 it shows that I have only payed $69 in total for a full year of full time work. I've been searching for some kind of options but as far as I've found you are ultimaley responsible for assuring you're paying enough taxes for the year regardless of what your employer does or doesn't do. Kind of just a rant but also if anyone has some experience with this stuff, please help cause I can't sleep knowing I probably won't make rent because of this situation.
Contemplating
hey everyone. I'm a nurse at a local nursing home and was hired with certain pay promises. I should've gotten the first part of my sign on bonus this week, but I didn't. I also didn't get my 5/hr weekend differential. I. going to talk to the lady over payroll tomorrow. I don't have a stable job history, but I won't work somewhere that can't honor their wage proposals. Any advice?
In my last post, I mentioned how the Fortune 500 company I work for can’t seem to ever pay me right. As I mentioned in that post, I already document my own hours everyday so I know exactly how much I’m owed each week and in this context, how much I’m short by each week. I have tried going through my plant HR, I’ve gone to corporate HR, and I just recently sent in a complaint to the DOL and I’m hoping to hear something back soon. As much as this situation already sucks, I’m kind of hoping my company drags their feet a bit longer so I can receive back pay for all these hours.
