Got tricked into making an app for 3 weeks of “experience.” I was locked in a basement and paid in chocolate. I was an Oompa Loompa! I was promised stock in the company and that never happened. I worked 40 hours a week with 2 other interns. There was a “lead engineer” we could call, but he wasn't with the company. He had his own job elsewhere. The guy manufactured a business to get interns and have them build him a free social media app with no intentions of paying. Someone finally finished the app for him. It's called Nombolo.

Guess I’ll be getting fired soon
Just trying to leave work and before I could leave for my 4th 12 hour day in a row my manger says they are writing me up for not covering night shifts vacation. I have been staying 3 hours extra every night to make sure it’s covered I just didn’t want to flip my entire schedule as I’m busy on my off hours. Hard work will get you no where if your don’t suck your bosses dick. Fuck you Frank
I love capitalism so much
Give me UBI, or let me die.
Anything else is effectively slavery with the added choice of slave owner. In essence, nobody chooses to be born, and there are compassionate ways of letting people go if they no longer want to be here. Basically, it comes down to the simple question: “Does life hold unconditional value, however it is lived?” If so, give that life a UBI to continue living. Allow laziness, encourage contentment, stop shaming those who don't strive for more. If not, let the life go with dignity. Don't force them to work under threat of starvation and eviction. Controversial and drastic viewpoint, sure. But I believe it points the way toward the right direction. Look around the world and you see people partaking in the “great resignation” or “laying flat”. All these people want is to exist – so let them. Give everyone a UBI, or give them the option of euthanasia.
Respect it from a labor perspective
“I'm not asking for much! Just a living wage ab $30/hr 30 hrs a week and 4 weeks of paid vacation” “ok well I just want $25/hr, I'll work 32 hrs and 4 weeks of paid vacation!” “Hey! you all are being selfish, I'll do the job for $20/hr and I'll work 40hrs a week, pwease hire me uwu” “Hahaha you guys are bunch of lazy spoiled brats! I'll do it for $18/hr and I'll work overtime without billing it no problem. I don't even NEED a vacation” You get the picture. If folks just want better work conditions and not a total rearranging of how production and distribution of resources operates you will end up working for $0.50 an hour. Without any kind of social or political structures to guarantee there are no desperate laborers someone somewhere will be desperate enough to break there bake for nothing but food.
Help – Exit interview
I will have my exit interview with my manager and company owner. Manager was terrible and mostly why I’m leaving the company while the owner is fantastic and very respectable and genuinely cares about the employees. Should I bring up my grievances with the manager? Feels like I’m throwing him under the bus in front of his manager. I’m not sure if he has any clue and might be a surprise
Working injured
My brother in law was working at a theater. He ended up hurting himself outside of work and has a torn ligament on his food. They were expecting him to work concessions instead of resting at the podium, knowing full well of his injury. Well they told him that to accommodate this, he would need another doctor's note, mind you he already provided one earlier. He ended up getting one from the doctor and quit at the same time. They asked why would you bring us the note if you were quitting, and he said it was to show he wasn't lying. They said we know you were hurt, but pretty much they didn't care. Awful, and wondering if there's anything that he can do.
