I don’t even know where to begin to explain this. I’m 8-5 M-F. My job agreement says this. A new policy was just added that we need to be on call 24/7 just incase one of our servers go down. There is no extra pay for this, since we are salary. They say to not put do not disturb on just in case they need us and any time of the day is fair game. Just this Saturday morning we had someone call us at 8:30AM asking for server help. Those are my days off!! Basically I’m going to be stressed out knowing I may have to go into the office TA any time every second of my life.

Forced to ot yesterday and i decided to quit the job..and inbox is filled with audio messages..don't have time tk check out …waiting for termination confirmation.

So I have 2 jobs. Well, back to just one for the moment. I'm a supervisor for a movie theater for most of the week and then work at Walmart friday – sunday. Guess which job I quit? If you guessed Walmart you'd be correct. Never in my life have I felt more dehumanized than at Walmart. The whole atmosphere of the place sends chills down my spine. It's just not a good place to be. Yesterday, apparently the district manager was coming so all the team leads were losing their minds. They had us running all over the store doing tasks even more pointless than stocking already full shelves. Sunbelt rentals is a growing employer in the Northwest and I want to warn you that they will seek to pay you at average 25% less than the average wage for most positions.

Watching “Undercover Boss” and now I'm realizing this show is pure propaganda! If it wasn't for this group I would have never considered that we are being sold these terrible jobs for good people. They never tell us how much the people earn at these jobs. So I want to thank all of you for giving me such a different perspective.

It’s fucking stupid. It causes me so much stress that this is allowed to happen. I wanna tell them I need a two week notice of my schedule but legally they don’t even have to do that. And the schedule is only out for the next week so I have no fucking idea what my hours are gonna be beyond that. It’s ridiculous. And maybe I’m overreacting but anxiety can cause a person to do that. I’m scheduled for tomorrow but I already have shit going on so I’m just not gonna go in. I’ll probably get fired for it but I just can’t bring myself to care about this minimum wage job, especially when shit like this keeps happening. I also got another job that pays way better but it doesn’t start until mid April. If I have to rough it out and be jobless until then, I will.…
