My job is physically demanding, terrible hours, I am underpaid and it just sucks all the life out of me. I've been trying to get a new one but just can't muster up the energy and focus to even update my resume because working just absolutely destroys my executive functioning. I'm in a really bad financial situation ever since I got this job because they just pay me so little that I can barely cover rent let alone other bills, I am a lifelong poor so I have always been extremely frugal and this is the worst financial situation I've been in. I have $1000 on my credit card from buying groceries for the past several months, and I unfortunately had to go to physiotherapy and was desperate enough to start talk therapy (which even at a rate for low income people is essentially unaffordable for me). Inside Edition Bringing to Light WFH
https://youtu.be/GYPgpwbGkE4 It is about time someone stops saying that, ” they don't want to work.” It was nice to see them actually taking the truth about WFH and putting it out there. I wish they had finished what she said when it ended, bc I know she had something great to say about office work, but they cut it off. Eitherway, it was nice to see it without the BS.
how to give a 2 weeks notice
i’m leaving my first ever retail job to focus on school and my physical health but i absolutely hate confrontation and wish i could just ghost but the job wasn’t too bad. how do i “serve” a two weeks notice? should i just give it verbally?
Put in my two weeks today…
I actually like my boss and everybody I work with. We're a great crew. But, I hate being on my feet all day for minimum wage. I managed to land a work from home job got $1.70 more an hour and I don't need to use gas to get there. I decided to stay on weekends just in case my other job didn't work out. But after my first week I went in today and realized how miserable I was at my old job in comparison to my new one. Decided to give my 2 weeks. I know not all employers deserve it, but it's not my boss' fault what I get paid (big box store) and I don't like to burn bridges. I'm looking forward to the future now with having weekends to myself
it’s nothing personal. Just business.
Companies that use this as an excuse to put tenured people out to pasture are horrible. I just watched about 20 people lose their jobs over pennies on the dollar. They want younger and healthier workers so they switched vendors. The others were there 10+ years. They don't want any of them working for the new vendor either.
