my first job interview will (hopefully) be coming up in the next week or so, and although i know the basic questions to ask (hourly pay, sign on bonuses, etc etc) i want to make sure i'm able to hit every base. i'm 17, interviewing to work at a nordstrom rack outlet, and, as previously stated, this is my first actual job. i don't necessarily want to work, but if i have to, i want to get the most i can out of this job. any advice is welcome!

How do you use debt to make income?
How would someone use debt to make passive income?
I did some reflection on my life today. Nine months sober from a drinking problem, new apartment, a cat I would kill God for and there was only one thing that made me conjure neagivity. My job. There has been so many new changes good and bad but overall I feel like I should really be enjoying my life rihgt now. I know I should be happy but my mental health is worse than it's ever been. Even the thought of going into my workplace this Monday makes me spiral into thoughts of sucide. If I didn't have a job, I would be happy. However if I didn't have a job I wouldn't be able to have the things that make me happy. You see the problem in this? So many like me must be suffering hard right now. To some sacrificing your life and time 40+ hours a week…
Required Union Avoidance Training
So I was recently offered a job in Ohio. I live in Georgia. In my current role, I serve as an independent contractor. In my contract, it says that if I want to quit, I need to give 30 days notice, but a 30 day notice would push back my start date for the new job. I don’t really want to stay at this company for 30 more days. Here’s the thing, there are no stated penalties in my contract for not giving a 30 day notice. I am more than capable of giving a 2 week notice, even a 3 week notice. But 30 days is too much. I would like to leave on good terms and not burn bridges. Georgia is an at will state, meaning I can quit at any time for any or no reason at all. Can I just put in a two week notice…
The reasons your boss wants to stop WFH
I really hate the push to stop WFH so I decided to put together a list of the cons/reasons businesses have according to me. These are just my opinion and don’t necessarily have bases in fact. Anyway in no particular order: 1.) To have total control of employees (like children) — they can watch you and make sure you’re on task and even scold you if you take too many bathroom breaks. Bosses also depend social norms and peer pressure so if they aren’t watching someone else is. 2.)To secretly steal employees wage (wage theft)— once at work you should be getting paid, not after logging in or getting through check-in gates. Being 15 min early means they stole a quarter of an hour salary from you and don’t forget breaks, that bosses will interrupt any chance they can. If you are working you should be getting paid it is…
Just lies on top of lies.
I interviewed for a position with a mutual fund company a little while ago. They said it wouldn’t be a sales position but that I would be making financial plans as part of a team to help sell to qualified leads that had already been brought in. I was skeptical of that claim but open-minded. First interview proceeded like this. Second interview, suddenly it is all about role-playing how I will sell to them. I’m mildly irritated after spending 3 hours on interviews but still open-minded it could be a good sales job, with prequalified leads. Third interview, I’m irritated pretty much immediately. The interviewer is asking a bunch of questions that would only make sense if these aren’t prequalified leads at all but I am in fact, actually cold calling 50+ people a day. There is virtually no reference to financial planning, just a bunch of questions on why…
