As a salaried airline employee, I’m told that I may not share my salary under fear of employment review. Turns out I don’t care much, because working for an airline rn is not… pleasant. That said, I turned to the NLRA to find verbiage to explain that it’s not ok to discourage employees to share their salaries when I noticed that due to the Railway Labor Act, airline employees are not covered under the NLRA. Why? What? How? Any recourse? And PSA: please be kind to your airline folks, they’re trying their best.

So this happened a few years ago but i thought you'd all like it… I worked at a coffee factory where we imported, roasted packaged and shipped out coffee all across the country. It was a fun gig. I had multiple duties but my main one was packing the ups boxes. It was tedious, and long hours but my coworkers made it worth it. However my supervisor was the worst. She had the worst attitude. She would cuss at us, throw things, yell at people and go as far as to threaten people. She was married to one one the higher ups so she was basically invincible there. And, to her credit, she did do an excellent job besides the abuse. She was fast and always got shit done. Fast forward five years later and I had finally had enough. I told her boss if I didn't move to another…
I shudder to think about the egos, stress and drama. You couldn’t pay me enough NOT to be around those people.
Any of you guys have his ring by chance?
TL;DR: Bosses/managers get mad at good employees for quitting, then want them to stay anyways without offering a raise or to make changes to resolve the issue. Bosses/managers probably have a higher chance to keep employees by working with them or giving them a raise to keep them happy. Bosses/managers feel like they own their employees. So I'm pretty sure many people here who quit their jobs recently have got some pretty bad responses from their bosses/managers when handing in their notice despite giving a proper notice, not causing a scene, not doing anything stupid, etc. Whether they ignore you, give you a rant about how issues within the company is your problem, or that you're suppose to feel bad for them, etc. For me, they started the argument. They started off by asking me where I'm going after in which I said I'm not sure. (I was burnt out…
Fuck amazon.
Can anyone share this wisdom with the rest of the class? The fuck does one do to do such a thing?
It's a somewhat funny story that happened during September of last year I got my number blocked from an interview for not doing a timed hour long logic based assessment test, after which i would have been allowed an over the phone interview, I got a call after half an hour about why I didn't finish the test, and stopped after 5 questions and sent an incomplete test to them. I just asked a few important questions i had about the test, like what is the cutoff to get the job as no passing marks were listed on the test the test was also proctored but not very well, they just wanted to record my webcam for the whole hour to see if I don't cheat, which was very easy if i just opened another tab the camera won't know a thing,as no one will be personally observing the test, they just needed my face to…
I just wish I could get one. Stuck in part-time in a supermarket because every job wants like ten years of work experience for any full-time job or just doesn't pay well for the hours. I'm 20. Just want a car to be able to have freedom in the world because American infrastructure sucks. Impossible to get a job that pays above 12 dollars an hour that isn't a life draining job like Walmart, McDonald's, or Amazon. Ugh. I'm not asking for much, but I guess young people who are too broke for college don't deserve anything /s. Living in a small town with no car, and a shitty job is misery.
