After working at Waffle House and slowly being radicalized, mid-pandemic, insane hours, base pay well below minwage and hardly enough tips to feed myself outside of work after my shift was changed to second, I've pretty much become a radical. I've always been a leftist, but these sorts of things just drive me nuts. So my new hobby has become working at a fast food job just long enough to basically get the whole restaurant to strike, then quitting when they need me most. For instance, I worked at DQ for a while, they gave me shit hours and pretty much only brought me in to unload truck and sweep. It was grueling work, and they had no sympathy for the fact that I fell down a flight of stairs in the rain and nearly broke my back/ribs. Lift those 50 pound boxes and twist… Now go home after you…

To give you a bit of a background I’m a 28 year old male from Sydney, Australia. I apologise for what’s bound to be a large wall of text. I never took up any tertiary study and have been working since I graduated high school. I’ve worked in several industries including retail, advertising, hospitality, sales and food manufacturing. I went from role to role, never really finding something that really interested me and I always worked just a specific goal; whether it was just to have some cash, or travel, or when I was saving up for my wedding. In August 2020 I found a job as an Account Manager for a biscuit manufacturer that was a 6 minute walk from my house. I went and interviewed for the position and was told throughout the interview what an interesting person I was and how I felt like the position was…

So I desperately needed a few days off this week for personal reasons. Instead I am being guilt tripped, gaslighted, and told how business needs come 1st I'm sorry but it's not my problem you can't hire more people and that you fire people for stupid reasons

Got an underperforming on review after doing something supposedly no one else on the team could do. It was given to me after no one else was able to solve it. It took a while but I got it done and they thought it might not be possible, and saved the company tons of effort Anyway… time to start the job search
