If things cost more and you’re getting the same pay, you get less stuff this year than last year. With 6%+ inflation this year, many people will be taking a pay cut simply by not doing anything, or even getting a 5% raise. If the costs of goods goes up, so does the cost of labor. Tell your employer.

April fool’s to the wage slaves
What the title says. I currently make about $20 an hour and interviewed with a position last week and lied about how much I currently make. I said I made $26 an hour and their response was to offer me the job at $28 an hour. LIE IN YOUR INTERVIEWS!!
I see all these reports of Biden being like well we are going to release all these oil reserves and everything will be ok. Great so gas goes back to say $3 a gallon does anyone think going to the grocery store is going to be any cheaper? Like all of a sudden they are going to lower the price of groceries or that all of a sudden rent is going to get cheaper. No that will remain the same but sweet gas is cheaper, like its crazy I do not care if gas goes back to $3 a gallon I want to be able to go to the grocery store and not see pasta sauce for $4-5. DoorDash problem, still tipped
This week, we ordered from Walmart grocery and the DoorDash driver accidentally delivered my order to someone else and their order to us. He ended up reversing them, but the other people had kindly put our two frozen items into their freezer to keep them safe and forgot to set them back out. Walmart said they were bringing them into the store and I could come get them, but nah. The whole reason I order delivery (or pickup) is that I hate going inside. Anyway, I didn’t change my tip because: 1) Dude still drove to my house, 2) had to drive extra because of an honest mistake, 3) gas is expensive. I did request a refund from Walmart for the 2 items I didn’t receive. But I figure Walmart can spare the $15 more than a guy who’s just trying to hustle. I hope he has better luck next…
