so I got this…
Perks, am I right?
i see the word “living wage” used often.
how much is a living wage exactly??
Hi, I have been an IT Business Analyst for 3 years in high cost of living area (Massachusetts). Last year I was offered $45/hr to do contract job as a senior business analyst this was a small jump from my full time pay back then. I asked for $60/hr and they jumped to $59/hr real fast. I accepted this job and I am coming up on 1 year. My contract will be extended, how much should I ask for when I renegotiate my contract?
So I took a job that pays really well, Monday-Friday, cool about taking time off all the things I wanted. I have only worked two days and have caught multiple red flags and I’m not really sure how long I should give it a chance.
Ive never had to fill out a T1D for a job in my life, only provide direct deposit or SIN. I gave those all to my employer, who stated i still needed the T1D forms. Apparently I submitted them “too late” and they didn't put me on the payroll for this period. I have like 80 hours over the past 2 weeks and yesterday was payday but they didnt give me my cheque??? I can't wait another two weeks for a paycheque I have expenses to pay, not to mention gas costing $2 and I have a quarter of a tank left- won't be able to afford to get to work in a few days. What can I do? Am i SOL here, or are they wronging me?
Am I an asshole for this?
Look I know this could be asked on AITA but I wanted opinions from this sub. I went off sick from work (government job, no I don’t know the Queen) back in February because I woke up one day and broke down at the idea of going to do my job. I work from home which is a huge factor in why my mental health has deteriorated. Essentially I’m just waiting for them to lay me off. I know opinions can be biased considering the sub I’m posting on, but what are your thoughts My reason for this btw is that being laid off due to not being able to support mental health illness further is easier to explain to future employers once I’ve received the help I need that “I took up too much sick” For ref I really am suffering from anxiety with this job and the thought…
