being lazy is not a thing
Notice was for 2 months and payment for the 1st month was in full. But for the 2nd month, they paid me only for the working days. Does it happen in a lot of startups across India? Is this even allowed?
I have recently reached a point where I have submitted my resignation due to my frustration with the companies direction and ongoing staffing constraints having shaped the work culture towards sacrificing quality and getting product right the first time in favor of output and volume. I have a number of other gripes about the company at large that have contributed to my decision to leave, but the impact on work culture has been the big pressure. I’m a perfectionist by nature so the trends over the past 5 years are increasingly problematic for me. All things considered, it’s not a bad place to work. As a Quality Assurance Tech, I function in a role supporting production and actually get paid a fair bit more than our production techs.…
I’ve been happily working at home since march 2019 because of covid, but now my job thinks it would be beneficial to come in once a week. I think is BS because the more senior staff on my team (who came up with this idea) don’t have to come in but we do. My main problem with this is the horrible 1hr train commute there & back, not including the 30min bus ride from the train station to my house and the cost. In the before times I lived a 20min bus from the office so it wasn’t an issue but during the pandemic I moved back home to save money. What’s a good excuse not to have to go in? I don’t have a disability but any excuses are welcome I’m currently looking for a home based job in the meantime.

The calls from the recruiter afterwards are pure gold. “But it's a great opportunity.” If I get an email on the weekend I will complete the task and charge overtime and then a bit more. I get questioned sometimes on why I didn't wait until Monday, my reply is that they didn't. If you want me to have company email on my phone expect me to read it and respond. I increased my salary by 50% last year with OT. Do you know you can usually take a vacation day without actually getting one subtracted. You just let everyone know you are taking a…
