Hi everyone i remover seeing a video posted on here a couple months ago where a kind and generous soul had written an app that automatically fills in job applications and if I remember correctly even does the stupid personality tests they make you do. Hi, I’ve requested absence leave from work for this week and next week but it’s been denied. (For context I only work part time Sundays and Monday) I’ve requested time off because I’m going to stay with family over the half term holidays as it’s my birthday next Tuesday, I’m planned to go see them from tomorrow until June 5, and then I need to go into college on the 6th for an assessment. And just in general I’d like a break to myself, I cannot stand that place at one bit, and they’re so unorganised, for the first month they didn’t know what my shift days were even though I literally wrote down the days and even sent them an email about it. My two co-workers go out to lunch together pretty much every day. Sometimes they go shopping. I go with them every now and again. But I look at ordering lunch out as a sort-of treat and I don’t like to do it every day. Plus it’s unhealthy. Also, sometimes I just want to turn my desk phone off and eat at my desk while reading, whatever. In other words, sometimes I like to spend my lunches quietly and alone. They don’t care. But we have two doors. A front and a back door. Both of which customers utilize. Obviously if we all go out, and there is no one here, we lock both of them. How should an anti-worker best use their time unemployed?
So this just happened today, I’ve been a long time reader of this subreddit and never thought I’d have anything to post here but I was just fired today from my pool cleaning job at ABC home and commercial services. When I asked why they are firing me they said it’s because I was planing on moving to Washington state at the end of June (currently based in Texas) I was just wondering if I had any leg to stand on for filing unemployment or should I just suck it up and wait to find a job up north in WA? Would love any feedback from you guys.
I know I can't afford to just not work. My wife and I both work 60 hours a week to pay rent, food and other such. We make 80k a year and still struggle to save. We aren't starving or anything, but a house is out of the question. If you are older than 25, not working, and totally able to just not work, please tell us your secrets.
The Underground Railroad should be used as a template for revolutionaries to mimic when it comes to the distribution of goods and services. In a world where necessities aren’t provided by the system, we must organize new and discreet forms of trade that bypass the expected channels that big brother so ruthlessly enforce that leave out so many. The internet provides that potential to trade within our communities. If we create these new and discreet systems than eventually our communities could potentially subvert power back to the people peacefullyand the elites and their money will be rendered obsolete.
