Need some opinions on this.
Currently, I'm working at a catering business that pays me 16 dollars an hour. I've only been here 3 months and I'm leaving in the middle of August to go back to college. The hours I work don't pay me enough as I regularly get sent home early as all the orders have been sent out and there isn't much for me to do. Should I try and negotiate a raise with my manager for $20 an hour for my remaining 3 months? I can't quit because I don't have any way to pay my rent if I do.
Not sure if this is the right place for this but I’m so frustrated! I had the absolute worst human being as a manager at my previous company that made work a living hell. Imagine Michael Scott with a drinking problem and talked crap about everyone! He was completely incompetent and pulled some of the dumbest things at work, my life felt like I was living in the office. I spent 6 months interviewing and studying to finally land a new job and got the hell out of that place. It felt like such a huge victory, I worked so hard to get ahead and got a good raise out of it too. Especially with inflation and how the world is going right now, I could feel the hit to my wallet and my wife and I’s combined income just wasn’t enough anymore to get by. Cue to this week,…
Found it on instagram
So the other day received an email from my manager stating “…it has been brought to my attention that sometimes you leave the office early…” first of all, literally everyone I work with does! If you’re wanting to get home a bit earlier and have finished all your work for the day, you head out early, literally everyone does it! Long story short, I explained this to my manager, she was actually very understanding but now I can’t help but feel I’m being constantly watched, id also love to know who brought this to her attention and no longer feel I can trust my coworkers, how can I get over this? I only have 3 months left working here but don’t want to be constantly watching my back.
MIDDLE EASTERN AIRLINES
I went to apply as a flight attendant in one of the 5 star airlines of GCC. Had an assessment today. We were group of 30 people. They first eliminated due to height ( which we mentioned in their form online before) Then group discussions. After the discussions they called everyone in . Unfortunately no one was selected in the group. Just told us to apply after 6 months. It also happened to me in another airline, I and 9 other girls were told that we are selected but then after 2 days we got rejection mail. I feel sooo sad. Why are they playing with our feelings if they can't afford to hire or something. They advertise for cabin crew jobs like crazy but when you go in person it looks like they don't want to hire anyone even if you fit in the criteria. Just a marketing tactic…
I want to quit my job after only 6 weeks
First of all, I want to mention I live in Eastern Europe I recently got a job after 2 years of being unemployed (after losing a good job due to covid, I decided to take a break). They wanted to hire me even without an interview, the director just called me and asked if I want to work for them(it's a corporate tourism agency). I firstly asked for an interview because I didn't want to go in blind. I went to the interview and accepted the job. Right after one week I realised I didn't want to work there anymore. There are things that I can't work with. Eg, there is a lot of gossip. The second a colleague exit the office space, they(women and men) immediately start commenting. For me this is disgusting af. The team members are older than me, married with kids(i'm married too but only for…
