The term “associates” is so 1984 it implies a false equality or fairness when the relationship is still employee and employer. Is this to make people think it’s more fair? I think to be honest it’s down right propaganda

Advice for the anxiety ridden
I’m 20, and I’m currently working at a family owned skating rink for the summer. I like the people I work with and the job itself is easy, I just really hate working. I have terrible anxiety attacks and have a hard time focusing, I’m on my feet all day despite chronic pain (though that is on me for applying for a customer service job) and I get incredibly overwhelmed by the loud environment and bright lights. The only reason I ended up with this job is because it was the one out of dozens that even called me in for an interview, but I’m belatedly realizing that it’s a poor fit and that I need out. The problem is that I need to save up money for college, for books and to cover any other expenses. I want to have at least 1k saved up before I leave my…
why are all shops open 12 hours everyday
I'm looking for a new job, im sick of working minimum wage finishing at 8pm somedays and then starting at 7 the next day. Why does every shop now open at least 12 hours everyday. What is the point? I understand shops like supermarkets because people working long shifts need food. But with all the online ordering of items and click an collects where you can have everything ready as soon as you walk in, why on earth do we need to open 12 hours a day. All I want is a job where I can support myself financially and not want to k*ill myself in the process. That is it. That is my entire life's ambition. I used to have dreams about what I wanted to be, now I just dream of “being”. I'd clean up human waste if it was a reasonably paid 9-5 where I didnt need…
No OT unless..
My job has this really funny rule when it comes to overtime. I work at a hospital and at times we are all too busy to be able to take a break. Our job mandatorily takes said break from our shift regardless. When I asked my boss about this his response was “Ask my boss.” So I did and he told me that missed breaks would be handled by taking either an “hour lunch” the next day or leaving 30 minutes early. My boss has made a whole shift leave 15 minutes early one day and then 30 minutes the next on the dot because we stayed for a combative patient who was actively trying to assault nurses. The kicker was having my buddy show up to a shift a couple hours early promising him OT and after he worked the shift was told he needed to leave an hour…

Living the dream
Are we fucked?
So the way things are going pretty much everywhere, inflation, shrinkflation, unlivable wages, rent and housing prices reaching prices so high you can only sit back and laugh, cost of travelling increasing to the point where it will be a luxury to even drive, whats the boiling point of all this? Where does it end? Is this just a tunnel we are passing through with light at the end or are we knee deep in the grave already?
