I feel like I’m not good at my job.
Helpful hint for bosses
If you’re a supervisor patting yourself on the back for low employee turnover, apathy is not the same as contentment. I’m 60 and can’t wait to retire.
If a coworker who had a similar job title to mine leaves, and we worked together to get the same job done, should I or should I not expect to be at least partially compensated for their salary? I am now just doing the same amount work that the two of us were doing together with no assistance. I don’t know if it matters but this is a rather high end, high compensation position in this company and I am plenty comfortable, and able to perform all duties by myself, but this seems unfair to me as they are getting the same quality of work done at about half the cost.
“There is no way to address the cost-of-living crisis or the global food crisis within the framework of an individual struggle against one employer or company, no matter how militant. In the fight for affordable food and basic necessities and a massive increase in wages, the working class must unite across workplaces, across industries and across countries to harness its full strength. The fight is a political struggle against the entire capitalist class and the governments they control. It cannot be won without stopping the imperialist war, which drains humanity’s technological genius and industrial might, directing it toward death and destruction when it is desperately needed to save and improve lives everywhere. This requires socialist revolution, the expropriation of the wealth of the rich and the placing of the world’s productive forces under the democratic control of the working class to abolish hunger and want forever. ” https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2022/05/25/per1-m25.html

My friend just got laid off in a mass layoff during a staff meeting then the ceo said 'Who's ready for happy hour?' then did the We Will Rock You chant so.
I love to watch corps blow $ to hire me.
God as my witness, I think it is my life's mission to watch these recruiters try so hard to fill a role with me and have companies waste thousands to hire me. Last year when unemployment ran out I took a job that I was over qualified for just to make ends meet. They hired me after 2 interviews only. I quit 2 weeks later cause they lied about it being fully remote and expected me to drive well over an hour to their office. I went for lunch and never came back. It was so invigorating, truly. Fast forward to this year I have been self employed since that first event and company reached out to me for a contract role. Money is good, opportunity great too, but this whole process has me seeing red flags everywhere. The entire hiring process for the role took 5 weeks and 5…
