That's basically it. I got my evaluation after “resigning” and my areas found lacking were due to my inability to manage my work life balance. Also, they put in writing that I left early more than once a week which is FALSE. The times I had to leave early to go to therapy to maintain my effing sanity (and not just quit on them!) were all requested in advance. Boss gave me a shocked Pikachu face when I refused to sign. Whatever, beeshes–good luck and Goodbye. I have something lined up already. Take care of yourself first, because nobody will but you.

I told her the option has changed so many peoples' lives and has allowed them to take care of themselves while working. She says, “yeah sure, but I've heard of people who are on the clock and doing laundry! Walking their dog! Watching TV! One was even making dinner and thought it was appropriate. People don't take work seriously anymore, we're supposed to work our 8 hours per day and be grateful to do it.” It's sad how many people are brainwashed. Especially trusted medical professionals, ones that you go to specifically when your mental health is bad. When you're desperate for any answer to drag you back to life. You might start believing the 1% lies to the poor too. I guess that's the point, huh.
a living wager
This is just sick.
What are your thoughts on doing this ?
So I posted here a few days ago that my job fired me for putting in my 2 weeks notice. Now they took it a step further and are not paying me my last check. I live in Miami Florida and I’m not sure what my options are other than to get a labor law attorney. But it doesn’t seem worth it for 6 days of pay. I was terribly underpaid so it would be like less than $900. All I did was put in my 2 weeks for a better paying job so that I can afford to live and my old bosses are trying to ruin my life (unsuccessfully). What are my options here? *Link to my other post: https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/uxnz6s/fired_for_putting_in_my_two_weeks/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
I am a school-based SLP. We got an email from the district I work for that a FaceTime between students last night was reported and investigated by local police who found “some of the information reported was founded,” while they “cannot share further details due to student confidentiality laws” (i get the confidentiality but i feel like more information is needed to put us teachers at ease). Another threat was reported at the high school in our district last night as well. My question is why in the ever-living fuck are we carrying on at school today? Why was class not canceled? 1 full day and 3 minimum days left in our school year. Why are we risking our teachers’ and students’ lives while nothing of substance is happening at school? I have already put in my resignation, and I do not plan to return to the profession. Chalk up…
The trust has been low since approx. 2007.
So I work for a tiny company in Texas (under 10 employees) and they are making us sign their updated employee manual. There is a clause in there about not discussing salary. It says that discussing salary or bonuses is grounds for termination. Is this legal in Texas? I can see that some courts have ruled that it violates the NLRA, but I'm not sure if that applies here. We're not in a union or anything.
