They want 40 hours of my time every week, they can pay for that portion of my electric bill

How can we accept a 30 minute break after working for hours on end? That's not a break. Not to mention half the time we're told to take the break almost right after clocking in. Part of that break is making your food, bathroom trip, and a manager talking to you so when you finally sit down you only have 15 minutes. What part of that is fair? And we have to clock out for that break as well so we lose 30 minutes of work.

Two weeks ago I signed up for oncall and evidently I worked an additional 14 hours and a stipend $175 in total everything came out to $325 Getting my check tomorrow and I saw how much ill be getting and they taxed $228.. So I made a measly extra $97.

And failed to tip cafe staff: how do you sleep at night?

I work at a…technology store whose name is ironic given the prices, located in America. I’m quitting due to the abuse I receive from my managers, but I do need a good reference so what are some things I should include or not include in my notice? I have a lot of complaints but obviously I can’t just turn this into a 95 Theses, no matter how tempting that is.
