Yeah, she’s still having to go to work! The mom said she can’t take FMLA because she’s part time with no benefits. Her child survived, but is now completely traumatized, she is terrified to leave her moms side. Her child texted her over and over while she was at work to please come home, that she needs her. Her child has been sleeping in bed with her mom and dad since it happened. And honestly asshole Abbott should have the state grant these parents paid leave to be by their children’s side. They need to feel safe. I saw another interview of a victim that survived while in the classroom, say her son is having severe nightmares and wakes up screaming every night. She said she’s trying to find him counseling. The fact a counselor hasn’t already been provided to these kids free of charge, is a damn shame! Yet…

sums it up tbh
I‘m in a managing position in a company that I already work in for 15 years. In the last 3 years, my private life got pretty fucked up. It was different before this change in my life. I felt more self-confident and motivated. When i had a 2 week vacation, after covid it was the first time I really…
I'm looking for work for after my maternity leave and I've always interviewed poorly. It's a combination of lack or confidence/ADHD brain that shuts off in high stress situations. What are some of your go to questions or practices for interviews to nail it and to know you're working for a stand up company? Also, is it wrong to ask in an interview how they'd be able to accommodate me having to leave unexpectedly for my kids? Obviously not all the time but if the daycare or school were to call, I don't want to deal with a pissy employer.
A light hearted rant
Am i the only one getting tired of George Carlin quotes being posted in any topic section dealing with how terrible things are getting? If i see another “they call it the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it” im going to explode! That being said, the 2 part Carlin biography on HBOMax is awesome and I highly recommend it.
