Not sure if this belongs here, sorry if it doesnt. I work as a Security Officer for a huge company and right now my post is in a warehouse. Its not one of those janky warehouses where everything is old and broken, its actually still under construction, so everything is new. Everything including the bathrooms. This warehouse also happens to be owned by a huge company, a young company. One of those that has lots of snacks and employee appreciation events, the pay is also pretty good for the COL in my area. Anyway, another thing this company provides here is free femenine hygiene products; tampons & pads. Theyre just sitting in all the bathrooms and it doesnt seem like theyre keeping iventory or anything, so i was thinking i could steal a few every shift bc whos gonna notice? I want to do this for as long as i…

I don’t want to have to work to live
I've never managed to hold a job for more than 6 months because of my mental health. Jobs and working have always made me stressed and super anxious and it's not fun or enjoyable or even the slightest bit rewarding, let alone fulfilling in any way. I quit my last job over half a year ago, managing to pay for housing and utilities and food with just what I had saved up. Then I moved home for a month, but my family always asks me about work and finding a job and I just feel pressured by them all the time. So I've just taken a risk moving into a new place with some friends and we've collectively spent over 6K with security deposit and first month's rent (cutting a huge chunk of what I'd saved up from my last job). Well who gave them that idea?
Another ‘Nobody wants to work!’ tale..
I was invited to pre-Memorial Day BBQ at my former bosses house yesterday and as I was parking a very nice and loud newer Corvette Stingray pulled up behind me and parked as I was already walking up the driveway. Took a minute to go around and meet everyone, eventually coming to the uncle that owned the car – we'll call him Steve. About an hour into socializing and drinking, Steve begins to tell me the story of how he's worked hard all his life and was working at a pet store for the last 20 years up until right before Covid when the elderly couple who owned the store decided it was time to hang it up. He told them he was interested and they sold it to him at a steal with one of the requirements being they get to still 'work' there part time. He said business…
New job, they treat me like crap
I started a new job at a supermarket as a cashier / stocker 3 weeks ago. It all started out fine but then they wanted me to switch last Friday and Saturday to work the afternoon shift instead of scheduled morning. I said no, because I do not have a sitter for my son, because my sons father was already working afternoon on those days at his job (we try to work opposite shifts to avoid childcare problems). I said to my boss I can not because I have nowhere to put my son until 9:30 pm and he is only 2,5 years old so he needs to be in bed like two hours before I even get out of work. I said to her I will work the schedule but I can not switch shifts on one day notice like that. She tried to make me feel bad saying…
